Scott Wierda is principal and managing partner of CWD Real Estate Investment. Wierda co-manages the firm with Sam Cummings. They collectively oversee all acquisitions, leasing, management, asset repositioning and development activities.

Wierda is co-owner and founder of Jade Pig Ventures, a West Michigan-based full service commercial real estate investment and development firm. Established in 1995, the company’s includes grocery anchored shopping centers, mixed-use centers, single tenant retail, restaurant and office users as well as medical office buildings.

Previously, Wierda served as vice president of sales for S.J. Wisinski & Company. He specialized in retail and office sales and leasing throughout West Michigan for the full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm.

As guest speaker, Wierda has addressed public/private partnerships at the City Manager’s Consortium as well as mixed use and public/private partnerships at the International Council of Shopping Centers - West Michigan Round Table.
