We've combined our talent, skill and expertise to create CWD Real Estate Investment, a full-service boutique investment, development, brokerage and property management firm led by managing partners Sam Cummings and Scott Wierda, and Partner Dan DeVos.
Principals
Sam Cummings and Scott Wierda - Managing Partners
Scott and Sam are responsible for implementing CWD’s vision and developing the strategies to accomplish the Company’s goals. Their duties include oversight of day-to-day operations including all property acquisition, investment, development, management and leasing. They play an active role in helping clients assess individual investments based on market conditions and individual financial goals. They are both associate brokers with 20 and 18 years’ experience in the industry, respectively.
Dan DeVos - Partner
Dori Sullivan - Administrative Assistant
Dori is the Assisitant to Sam Cummings and Scott Wierda. Her duties include managing Sam and Scott's calendar as well as maintaining the everyday environment of the CWD office.
Brokerage
Geoffrey Meekhoff - Director of Brokerage
Geoff is responsible for leading the firm's team in representing clients in the acquisition, disposition and leasing activities of real property. Geoff is a strong Leader specializing in team management, motivation, prospecting and lead generation. Geoff brings over 18 years of experience in the construction, development and real estate industry in the West Michigan market.
Steve DeLanoy - VP of Brokerage
Steve is responsible for the firm’s Real Estate advisory services, including the acquisition, disposition and leasing for key strategic clients. He specializes in retail properties and has over 20 years of international sales and management experience.
Jeff Karger - Director of Office Brokerage
Jeff is responsible for the acquisition, disposition and leasing of office buildings for key strategic clients. He has over six years of experience in the office brokerage arena and has been involved in some of the most recognizable projects/buildings in the West Michigan market.
Accounting and Finance
Bonnie Melnik - VP of Finance
Bonnie currently has fourteen years of experience in accounting, working with a variety of business types. The most recent ten years of experience have been focused in real estate finance, development, management and operations. Bonnie is responsible for the managing of financial transactions, modeling, reporting and advising on real estate investments, tax planning and forecasting.
Jamie Blodgett - Staff Accountant
Jaime is responsible for the day to day activities for a number of of the properties that CWD manages. Her duties include managing payables, receivables and cash flow on a daily basis. Jaime also prepares the financial statements for the owners. She has been with CWD since November 2008 and has been working in real estate accounting for 8 years.
Ryan Eardley - Staff Accountant
Ryan is responsible for the day to day activities for a number of properties that CWD manages. His duties include managing payables, receivables, cash flow and budgeting. Ryan has been with CWD for 5 years. Ryan has been working in accounting for 9 years.
Development
Nick Koster - VP of Development
Nick is responsible for all development projects from acquisition through construction close out. His duties include creating financial analysis, budgets and project strategy, obtaining public approvals, oversight of design and construction, managing the sales and marketing efforts and overall project management. Nick has been with the company since 2007.
Tamara Beel - Residential Sales Manager
Tamara is responsible for the day to day sales and leasing of residential properties. Tamara has been with CWD for 2 years. Tamara has been in residential sales for 2 years.
Property Management
Sheri Willis - Property Manager
Sheri is responsible for property management, lease administration and tenant relations for all properties in the CWD Real Estate Investment portfolio. She is a licensed real estate agent and a Certified Property Manager candidate.
Erin Heeren - Assistant Property Manager
Erin is the Assistant to Sheri Willis in Property Management. She is responsible for the parking CWD manages as well as assisting Sheri on a day to day basis. Erin began with CWD in November of 2008.
