Partners Sam Cummings, Scott Wierda and Dan DeVos are pleased to announce the launch of CWD Real Estate Investment, a full-service boutique investment, development, brokerage, and property management firm. CWD will specialize in simplifying real estate investment for high net worth individuals and corporate clients in West Michigan and throughout the Midwest.
“Together, we possess nearly 70 years of real estate experience and enjoy a demonstrated track record of entrepreneurship in this community and beyond,” said Cummings, CWD Real Estate Investment co-managing partner. “Our position as long-time owners, investors and developers uniquely equips us to offer our services as fiduciaries for our clients. Based on our expertise and ability to ‘think like owners,’ we can provide invaluable insight into long-term planning for real estate as an integral part of a balanced investment portfolio.”
Cummings, the founding president of Second Story Properties, will fold all of Second Story’s operations and commercial and residential real estate portfolio into CWD. The managing partners of Cummings and Wierda will jointly direct the firm’s daily operations, investments and growth strategy and oversee the management of the company’s assets. CWD partner DeVos will be directly involved in the company’s investment and development initiatives and will work with the managing partners to develop a long-term corporate growth strategy.
